LoopTV interviews Welsh drummer turned world acclaimed producer Greg Haver at the British Music Experience exhibition centre in London’s O2 arena.
Greg used his self developed studio in wales to build a reputation within the Welsh music community for his diverse productions with artists such as Super Furry Animals, Catatonia, Lost Prophets and Bullet For My Valentine.
Greg went on to work with ‘The Manic Street Preachers’, producing their album ‘Lifeblood’ which included the singles ‘The Love of Richard Nixon’ and ‘Empty Souls’. He also worked on their earlier top ten records including ‘There by the Grace of God’ and ‘You Stole the Sun From My Heart’, and later toured with them as a percussionist on their 2002/3 ‘Greatest Hits’ tour.
In recent years Greg has recorded extensively overseas including work in New Zealand and Australia producing major label artists such as The feelers’ multi-platinum album “Playground Battle”, Carly Binding’s ‘So Radiate’ album and ‘The Mad Love’ by 48 May.
Apart from his producing role, Greg has always remained connected as a musician often playing on albums he is involved with, including musician credits on the Tom Jones album ‘Reload’, plus the likes of Roger Daltrey, Daryl Hall, Corey Hart, Nightcrawlers and Waterfront as well as a songwriter for EMI Music Publishing, and also helped set up the Sony UK backed Boobytrap label.
