On our recent trip to Bristol we asked Jody Wisternoff to give us a guided tour of his state-of-the-art studio…he only went and said yes!
So here you are the man himself talking about the sounds and keyboards that define his unique production values.
Liked the tech talk Jody….BUT… aren’t you forgetting the excellent but much overlooked Sony Acid Pro when it comes to drop and play + pitchshift facility. Yep Ableton is good, but it’s not the only kid on the block that can give you instant grooves from samples.
Peace
@Dwarka108. Good point! Acid (the software)was around in 1998 and used to good effect by Fatboy Slim on Rockafella Skank (think ‘Fuuuunk Sooooul Brooootheeeer’ timestretch without pitchshift effect).
So, Jody is factually incorrect in that statement. But, he’s also factually correct when he says Ableton Live is Dope! We’ll let him off as he’s obviously still enthusing from all his sick hardware.
