Top 100 | DJ Mag Awards | 2009

LoopTV were out in force at this years Top 100 DJ Mag Awards held at the Ministry Of Sound in London on the 28th Oct.  We managed to get behind the hallowed Ministry doors to bring you all the latest news of the night and interview some of the top 100 DJs in the world!

DJ maestro Armin Van Buuren pipped Tiesto and David Guetta to this years winning post making it a hatrick for the Dutchman.  We chatted to him before the ceremony about his chances of winning, the secrets of his success and to find out what’s lined up in 2010 for the man at the top.

Armin later admitted he was stunned by the prize: “This was the least expected one. I expected David Guetta to win. I can understand that people might think if you win it for the third time it’s not that special… but for me it’s the most special.  To make it a third time is just massive.”

We also caught up and interviewed 10th position Techno and Trance DJ, Sander Van Doorn, who has been squirreling away in his studio for the past few weeks working on a host of new material…along with 19th position progressive electronica duo Cosmic Gate, together with Beta Recordings own Drum and Bass and electro star John B, plus many others from Top 100 DJs around the world!
