Tim Healey is a freak amongst DJs. Simultaneously pursuing an intense tour schedule while producing an award winning sample collection from his Brighton studio and running his label: Giant Pussy Records.
He’s toured with DJs like David Guetta, Erick Morillo, and Deadmau5 and he’s played for Cream, God’s Kitchen, Ministry of Sound, Manumission, Pacha, and head-lined nights in territories as far flung as San Francisco, South Africa, Singapore, Kazakhstan and Brazil.
His energetic sets are a mash-up of ghetto-house, electro and quality club-sounds, together with recent releases like the viral vid Tim Healey & Tai ‘Pocket Rocket’ are a force to be reckoned with. Best summarised by DJ MAG: “Tim Healey blows the speakers apart with his trashed out sound, the music is as cutting edge as it can be”.
We caught up to interview Tim at his Brighton Studio and get the low down on his career so far and his exciting new Label – The provocatively named ‘Giant Pussy Records’.
