LoopTV bring you this useful tutorial for setting up your iOS device to control your Ableton Live projects.
In this video Peter Morgan runs through what you need to get started, including how to implement the initial setup of the Live Control iPad app, and the Live control custom touch osc template you’ll need to communicate to Ableton. Plus he looks at the Ableton preference settings you’ll need to configure so you can mirror your sets on the iOS device.

Hey,
Just adding a link for the LiveControl app as I couldnt find it on the App Store.
livecontrol.q3f.org
I bought touchOSC a year ago, but have always failed to get this working so I was excited to see this walkthrough. Problem is though this guide does not relate to the actual process or the current TouchOSC or LiveControl apps. Several key pieces of information missing:-
LiveCOntrol does not come with TouchOSC – so where do you get that from.
How to configure TouchOSC with templates (as the Ableton templates are NOT there by defualt. It turns out you need to download an editor from yet another TouchOSC related site and ‘sync’ the template with your device.
Then comes the detail around connection – how to find the host machine – it just does not work how it’s shown in the video here
So, no farther forward by another 30 mins wasted on trying to get something I’ve paid for work….
